A Proper Name

-W.H.Auden-
-Kusdiana Lusi Kartikasari-
It was given by my parents about 22 years ago.
I'm not sure what it means exactly.
But, based on a short investigation, maybe I could explain it a bit :)
Start from the first phrase, Kusdiana.
Kus was taken from my Dad's name, Kusraharjo. Yes, maybe it looks like a family name in the western. The difference lies in the placement of that family name. Western people mostly always put their family name in the last. But, it doesn't always applies for Indonesian too. We are never argue about the placement of family name. Sometimes it was placed in the early, sometimes in the middle, and often in the last also.
Second phrase, Lusi or in western it was often written as Lucy.
Lusi was taken from my Mom's name, Lusiana. According to wikipedia.com, Lusi or Lucy is an English or French feminine given named derived from Latin masculine given name Lucius with the meaning as of light (born at dawn or daylight, maybe also shiny, or of light complexion).
And the last phrase, Kartikasari.
Actually, Kartikasari consist of two different phrase, there are Kartika and Sari. Both are a Javanese given named. Kartika means star, it because I was born at night. Then Sari means princess or flower.
So, if all of phrase in my name was combined, we would see a beautiful meaning indeed. :))
Kusdiana Lusi Kartikasari means a princess of my parents (Mr. Kusraharjo and Mrs. Lusiana) who just like a beautiful star.
A simple phrase, but a deep meaning for me. A name is a wish. I recognized it as a high expectation about me so that I could be someone who have a beautiful character just like a princess and I must create a beautiful accomplishment just like a star.
